Neonatal Nurses

They are nurses who work specifically with newborn infants, also work for premature or ill newborns. Counseling doctors and parents,  sometimes not all the infants can survive but do their best to give them the nurture they need.conducting lumbar punctures. They work in the neonatal intensive care unit. There are 3 levels to a neonatal nurse provide care to the babies and stay in hospital for sort time. The second level is to care for the premature or have illness and special feedings and intravenous therapy. The last is the NICU were babies that are severely ill and are small are put into incubators and surgery.


What you need is to have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing as well as a certification from national Certification Corporation from State  Board of Nursing, best to also work in Neonatal Intensive care unit to expand experience. To be a fully licenced  try to obtain a masters.


They can earn about $53,100 -$70,000 depending on the above as well as bonus and incentives.
